In fact, our equipment can produce more than 2000 sets when fully loaded, but production may be reduced to 200 sets/day due to various factors.
- Time required for mold changes. In order to produce different kit combinations, we have many small molds, which can reduce material waste during production and increase flexibility. However, changing molds requires at least a one-hour interruption of production and the equipment needs to produce about 1000 pcs of keycaps before stabilizing. Therefore, when producing a small quantity of orders, the time required for mold changes is often longer than the time for actual injection molding.
- Time required to adjust the equipment. The molding parameters for legends of different row profiles are different.
- Low utilization rate of the molds. Our molds can usually produce 16 keys or 8 keys at a time, but in actual production, we often encounter situations where only 2-3 keys out of these 16-8 are used. This is due to fragmented kit/layout design and small order quantities. 4.Frequent color changes. The injection molding machine needs to use white raw materials to clean the equipment before switching to injecting new colors, which consumes a lot of time. 5.Production abnormalities. These are not excuses for delayed shipments. These are just some of the practical reasons that would limit production speed and efficiency.
